About 78th Wedding Anniversaries
Couples celebrating their 78th wedding anniversary, began their married life when home comforts meant warmth, security and togetherness. Life was simpler and being together was the most important thing, not material objects. They were probably married during the decade that Edward gave up his throne for his Wallis and when turbulent times were on the horizon. This anniversary deserves celebration and definitely a card from the Queen. It was the decade when silent movies became talking movies and black and white turned to colour.
A night out usually meant a trip to the cinema to be whisked away by the grace and elegance of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, or a romantic meal at a restaurant, or simply an evening stroll along a country lane. These are all things that can be organised at home if your special couple are not as agile as they used to be, get out the DVD and settle down together with some pop-corn, arrange for a take-away from their favourite restaurant, and take a gentle stroll around the garden.
Get the family together, organise a buffet, pop some champagne and arrange for the grandchildren or even great grandchildren to perform a play, making for some wonderful family entertainment. Maybe even arrange for a family portrait, acting as a permanent reminder of their 78th wedding anniversary.
It is a momentous occasion for all the family so be sure to get everyone together, pamper the happy couple and let them know just how much they mean to you, the 78th anniversary is a day to be enjoyed together.
